An enterprising individual named Simon Kissel has found a temporary
fix for the crash problem that Fedora Core 2 has running the 2.6.8
Kernel including the exec-shield patch. i.e. kernel-2.6.8-1.521

I applied this fix to the latest BNR2 binary and found that it works.

A revised version of BNR2beta-0.14.2.tgz has been uploaded to the
www.bnr2.org and the Yahoo! bnr download pages.

If you added the following to /etc/rc.d/rc.local

   if [ `uname -r` = "2.6.8-1.521" ]; then
     echo 1 > /proc/sys/vm/legacy_va_layout
   fi

or edited your bnr2 script you'll need to remove them.

You have two choices. Download and apply Simon Kissel's patch to the
BNR2 binary or download and install the updated BNR2beta-0.14.2.tgz.
